Sunday the16th was a hot August day in Olde Town Frederick, and things were just as hot at the Cafe 611 on North Market Street.  RESCUE ME, a benefit concert for animal rescue organizations, including the Frederick Humane Society, the Days End Horse Rescue, and the Garuda Aviary, was in full swing, a 7 (well, 8) hour excuse to party with great bands, a live crowd, and raffles!  There really was something for everybody - folk music, doo-wop, jazz, a great DJ, heavy metal, raffles for prizes offered by our sponsors, and the mellowest atmosphere in town.

Concert organizer, Nathaniel Waggoner, announced that over $1700 had been raised to be split between the three rescue organizations for the benefit of their animal charges.  And a good time was had by all!

We're hoping that this is the First Annual Rescue Me event.  With your help, we can do it all again next year!
